Getting Started
MaxiFrame is a QuickTime playback too that allows you to separates the media from the movies playback details for customizing your fullscreen or multi-screen playback experience. MaxiFrame give you control over various playback settings and the onscreen appearance of your clips, without altering the original media.
Creating MaxiFrame Documents
MaxiFrame documents represents a collection of QuickTime Movies (a playlist) and the associated playback settings. MaxiFrame documents come in two varieties: Standard and Dynamic.
Standard Playlist
Standard Playlist documents contain a list of movies populated by the user. This list may be changed at any time and can contain elements from many different folders on your system.
To add movies to a Standard Playlist, select the File > Add Clips... option from main menu or click the Add Movies icon on the toolbar. You may also dragndrop items from the Finder onto the MaxiFrame Document Window. The dragged items may include movie files or folders.
To remove items, select them in the clips table and press the delete key.
Dynamic Playlist
Dynamic Playlist documents contain a list of movies currently located in a folder specified by the user. The movies in the playlist will include the movie files located in the specified folder when the Dynamic Playlist document is opened. This contents of the list may not be changed without specifying a different folders on your system. However, you can re-order clips using dragndrop. To specify a new folder, click the "Set Source Folder" button on the toolbar.
Playback
By default, your playlist movies will be displayed in the preview view of the MaxiFrame document window. You may use the playback buttons to start/stop the movie. You may also scrub through a movie using the scrub slider directly underneath the preview view.
The current movie time is displayed to the left of the scrub slider.
Settings
Settings that affect movie playback and display are found in a tab panel on the document windows lower left side.
