Manipulating Image Settings
Image Settings
Each tray item has its own settings from color removal. The settings for the selected tray item are display in the panel to the right of the document window. This panel has two tabs: Simple and Advanced. The Simple tab enables users to exclude one or more preset color ranges from their images. The Advanced tab allows users to create a collection of any number of color ranges to exclude from an image.
Any changes to the image settings is reflected immediately in the Preview Image.
The Simple Process
The Simple Settings tab presents the user with 7 pre-defined color ranges. Selecting a color ranges removes hues within that range from the selected Tray item image.
The panel also provides a 3-segment button that performs task on the ranges that you have selected. You may set or clear all preset color ranges. You may also toggle the value of each range.
The Advanced Process
The Advanced Settings tab lets you create a collection of color ranges to be applied to the selected Tray item.
To add a new color range to the advanced collection, click the "+" button under the color range table. To remove an entry, select it and press the delete key or you may Swipe Left to reveal the table action for the swiped row.
When new entries are created, they are disabled and will not affect the current preview image.
To edit a color range, select the range and adjust the spectrum tool at the bottom of the panel. The left and right handles on the spectrum tool may be dragged to specify the range you like, but they can't be dragged passed on another.
To adjust the handles one-degree-at-a-time, double click the desired handle. The handle will turn red. Use the left or right arrow keys on the keyboard to change the indicated hue by one degree. When you are finished, press the escape key. While the handle is red, you may not drag the handles to any new position.
To enable a color range, click the checkbox in front of the color range in the advanced colors table.
Each color range has a name which may be edited. The text box above the spectrum tool enables this function.
Using Lift and Stamp
The Lift and Stamp Settings 2-segment buttons on the toolbar allow you to copy and paste settings from one Tray item to one-or-more other Tray items. The Lift Settings button copies the settings for the select Tray item into a global pasteboard. The Stamp Settings button applies the settings currently stored in the global pasteboard into the selected Tray items.
